My favorite gym in paris: Heimat

I recently became a member of the gym Heimat in Paris and so far I have only good things to say. This is a female only gym which was created by Waris Dirie — a supermodel, bestselling author, and activist. The concept behind this boutique gym was to create an inspiring space and a lifestyle centre. Additionally, Heimat is covered in beautiful artworks thanks to a partnership with ARTNESS, a renowned network for international artists. The location of the gym was formerly the Musée Dapper for African Art, and the history of this location is remembered by displaying contemporary female artists from Africa and the Diaspora into the gym.

Membership to Heimat costs two-hundred euros a month for those under 25 and three-hundred euros a month for the rest. While this membership is definitely pricey, in my opinion, the amenities as well as the general vibe of the gym make it worth it. The gym features as cardio room, a room for weight training, a sauna, jacuzzi, bar, yoga and pilates room, etc.
