My first months living in paris

I moved to Paris in September, so now I have officially been here for two months. I have to say that adapting to the city was not very hard for me, I think this is because I was used to living away from home at boarding school so I do not feel too homesick in Paris.

I arrived to my school, Parsons Paris, two weeks late due to issues with my French visa, so I was nervous about meeting new people and making friends since everyone had already met each other. Nonetheless, everyone was very friendly and I quickly made many friends. In a short amount of time I was able to settle down in Paris, learning the streets and paths I should walk to and from school, finding a good supermarket to go to, discovering a gym I could attend etc.

I think one of the most important things when moving somewhere new is to keep yourself busy. This definitely makes the adaptation process easier.

One thing that I do not like as much about Paris and has been a bit of a struggle for me is that the city is not very international at all. The majority of Paris is very French and from my experience they tend to stick together, so it is hard for someone from outside to meet people and make friends. I have come to learn that I prefer places like London and New York, which are more international.
